Toni's Kitchen was established in 1982 as a soup kitchen with the mission to serve our neighbors in need.
Over the last five years, the need in the community and growth of the Toni's operation have been explosive.
In response to this increased need, Toni's Kitchen has set ambitious strategic goals to ensure all members of the community have reliable access to healthy food.
Toni's Kitchen uses a community partner model to enhance access and connections to programs and resources that encourage healthy, independent lives.
With the increase in need, Toni's Kitchen has also seen a matched response in volunteer involvement as well as the depth of the donor base, in givers and dollars, and overall support of the wider community - recently culminating in the completion of its first capital campaign Growth For Good.
Position
Summary:
The Development Officer is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the $1,000
fundraising initiatives of Toni's Kitchen, with a particular focus on $1,000-$5,000 donors.
The Development Officer will work in close partnership with the Grants Coordinator and the Executive Director to support Major Gift cultivation.
Job
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for management of a pipeline of donors $1,000+, both new and existing donors, with a focus on stewardship and increasing gifts.
Lead growth of our major gifts program and engage the Development Committee in monthly meetings.
Provide regular updates and current lists to leadership.
Manage Donor Engagement Committee solicitation assignments.
Coordinate with Grants Coordinator to determine the reports needed to craft development strategy for our Donor Engagement Committee members, and develop a schedule for producing reports.
Coordinate with Grants Coordinator to determine the additional reports necessary to understand regular (monthly, quarterly, annual) development progress against goals.
Work with staff to generate weekly donor reports (dollars raised that week), review and ensure accurate recording in Donor Perfect, and provide to Development Committee the most current fundraising data.
Manage all major campaign administration.
Organize meetings, prepare reports, oversee materials production, plan and execute events, support campaign committee and solicitors, oversee acknowledgement, pledges, and stewardship.
Work closely with the entire Toni's Kitchen team to ensure coordination between fundraising efforts and other broad-based community fundraising and happenings.
Oversee prospect research.
Collaborate with other professional staff.
Oversee creation of marketing materials and collateral to support fundraising activities.
Expand gift recognition programs for various giving levels.
Demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
Perform other related duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
Knowledge and experience in fundraising techniques.
Skills to work with and motivate staff, volunteers, and other prospects.
Establish and maintain routines around moves management.
Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense, and good listening ability.
A bachelor's degree.
Seven years minimum experience in professional fundraising or similar field.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Part-time position, with opportunity for some remote work.

25 hours/week.
Much of the work can be done remotely with weekly onsite meetings required.
