Summary:
Patient Care Assistants work alongside doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The Patient Care Assistants(PCA) plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting often having more patient contact than any other team member including doctors and nurses.
Position
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience with patient safety best practices preferred.
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
Applicant must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions, establish and
Maintain effective working relationships, function effectively as a member of the health care team
Make simple reports and accept and utilize supervision.
Perform EKGs
Perform successful blood draws
Perform Blood Glucose testing.
Report abnormal findings to primary care nurse.
Maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support HCP Certification. EKG and Phlebotomy Certifications
